Cyanogen To Suspend All Services Starting December 31st

This will be a bad news for the lovers of CyanogenMod as cyanogen has revealed in a press statement days back that they will suspend all part of their services on or before the 31st of December 2016. And it also includes the nightly builds.

According to Cyanogen, the open source code will still be available for any individual who needs to work with it. Presently the company's future allegedly lies in building add-ons for Google as opposed to replacing Google's open source OS.

Steve Kondik who happens to be one of the co-founders of cyanogen has been taking about rebranding Cyanogen which is largely financed by crowd funding. There has been some unconfirmed story that the software repository in GitHub which is named "lineages android distribution" is very much one of the cyanogen's new reorganization.

If you guys can recall back, cyanogen's first release which was the version 3.1 was way back in 2009 and right now, the company presently has more than 50million users who are running the CyanogenMod on their android device. Presently, the company as of now has CM14.1 which is based on android Nougat version 7.1.
